Is this a sign of not getting enough to drink or is it just because the air is dryer in winter? He has three bottles a day, and I try to give him water mixed with a bit of juice but he doesn't drink very much. Should I put some lotion on him to help? It's just his calves that are dry, not noticeably (you can't see it, but you can feel it).

I would guess it is just the dry air and change in the weather. I would try lotion to see if that helps. Karlie's skin gets real dry too. I put lotion on her after her baths and after I wipe her off with a wash cloth. I also will put vaseline or neosporin (sp?) on her face, per her doctor, when it gets real chapped.

Eucerin cream works great! Reid had excema on his legs and cheeks and it cleared it right up.
